Blue Ombre

I was asked to make a simple cake for a birthday party. I've been wanting to try the new "ombre" method, which is becoming a strong trend.

Flavor was Pink Champagne Cake with vanilla buttercream and decorated with ombre blue sugar circles. Buttercream was tinted in varying shades of blue. Cake was delivered here in Mesquite, NV.



I took a picture with natural light coming in through the window to try and get the different shades, but as you can tell the one below shows the shades a bit better.


It was fun to try a couple new techniques.
