Retro Fashion Lover

The client asked me to make her dauther-in-law a retro birthday cake. Favorite colors are black & red. The design was up to me. Cake flavor was choco-latte with raspberry mousse and vanilla buttercream. The cake was covered in black, red and ivory fondant. I found this retro pattern online and designed the cake around it.

I thought this was a pretty cool pattern .... so this is what I came up with.

  Bottom cake covered in black fondant with a red fondant band and the top was layered fondant with cut-outs of the design. It was all sprayed with a pearl finish.

This cake was delivered here in Mesquite and they brought down to Las Vegas, NV to celebrate her 33rd birthday.
